Tune in this week to learn about the ancient and challenging sport of archery.

Archery was invented around 20,000 years ago and has been an important part of Mongolian culture ever since. So, Voice Box has decided to do a special episode on this traditional sport.

Gab will speak to a very talented archer and even has a go of it herself. I wonder how she will go!

School and he introduces us to his life, his family and his favourite things to do around town. We also meet some other outstanding students, including a chess champion and traditional Mongolian dancer. We check out the local hydro-electricity plant and learn some interesting stuff about the region. The Music and Dance College in Ulanbataar has trained some of the most outstanding musicians and dancers in the world. Gabrielle takes you inside the walls of this prestigious college. You will get a taste of all sorts of artistic styles, from traditional Mongolian music to classical and contemporary music and dance.
We talk to Sharav, an internationally acclaimed Mongolian pianist who now teaches at the college. Sharav has spent many years travelling the world, performing in many different theatres and opera houses.
